Hardwood Species & Craftsmanship Options

• Rift-Sawn White Oak: The gold standard of modern coastal and transitional design. Dense Janka hardness (1,360 lbf) with a crisp, linear grain that accepts custom reactive stains, white-washes, and natural hardwax oils to match European oak floors.
• American Black Walnut: Naturally rich, deep chocolate tones with flowing organic grain. Requires no synthetic stains—a matte polyurethane or Rubio Monocoat finish highlights its heirloom depth.
• Hard Maple & Cherry: Ultra-smooth closed-grain hardwoods ideal for painted contemporary accents, custom fluted newels, or warm transitional settings.
• Tread Nosing Profiles: Modern square pencil-eased edges, full bullnose, or dramatic 3.5-inch thick mitered waterfall box treads for open-riser stairs.
